Changed my layout today! It's version 2.1 feturing P'unk~en~Ciel. I know it's simple but I really don't have time to make fancy ones right now.
I read so much stuff about laruku today.... about the conflict between the members, the band and sony and their solo works. I didn't know that it was that complicated for them.
I finally found out the thing about Sakura. The band didn't want to kick him out of the group but people have a feeling that Sony did. Utada Hikaru once said in an english interview that she can't really be herself when recording her japanese works because works have to be clean. Because Sakura got arrested, bad record for Sakura = bye bye larc. Sony want's a clean image for their artists just like any other recording company in Japan. Fans got mad about this, the Sakura thing and Tetsu kind of got fed up as well because of all the things that the people are saying so here comes the song Bravery. Bravery is a song that went both ways. Larc gained fans but lost some old ones too. I think it's because people were saying that Laruku lost it already. That they were better with SAkura around. Poor Yuki. I like Yuki ^_^

Anyway, here's a part of the Glay meets Tetsu interview from The Ark
Tetsu: I wasn't having a rest for 2 1/2 years. It was more hard work. I had to do everything by myself. And it's sad to say but I've treated differently. I'm a bassist of LArc but they didn't really interested in my solo act.
Takurou: Ah~, --
Tetsu: I don't recommend you to be a solo artist! I think it's good you don't allow your member to do solo.
Takurou: Yes. For example, our guitarist Hisashi, what he really wants to do is totally different from GLAY. When we had drink together, I've asked whether he wanted to continue as a member of Glay. (laugh) He sometimes brings music he wrote and says he wants to do the music like that. He does everything. In his demo track, there's no space for my guitar or Jiro's bass. If you do that much, you can take at least a guest vocal in your tune. Please do what you want, I said.
Tetsu: Maji de!?
Takurou: Then he said, "Ja, Teru de.". (want Teru to sing.) If he sings, that's GLAY jan. I felt he takes a balance on his way.
Tetsu: Sokka~.....
Takurou: Ja, while playing a song, plse tell me the name of who has been cold to you.
Tetsu: Oh, no no no...(laugh)
Takurou: I'll tell him off later.
I think this one says a lot about what Tetsu really feels. Some people think that Sony was pressuring Laruku too much. But some say, Tetsu kind of got fed up with the fact that newer fans don't know Laruku as L'Arc~en~Ciel with Tetsu, Hyde, Yukihiro and Ken, or any position of the names but now L'Arc~en~Ciel is known as Hyde and the other 3 laruku members. I know it sounds like Tetsu is becoming envious but no he's not. He just wants us to know L'Arc~en~Ciel as the 4 members who create great music and who will continue to make great music. It's not just Hyde or Tetsu or Yukihiro or Ken. Although we must admit that Hyde is getting so much of the attention now. I'm a Hyde fan but I noticed and I think Tetsu and the others shold be given more credit than what they're getting now.
Another thing discussed was why Tetsu's solo work Warner Music instead of Sony? Hyde's solo work was still at Sony only under Haunted Records, S.O.A.P was under Mavrick or the smaller branch of Sony and I think moved to Danger and Acid Android was Sony as well but moved to Danger and then Tracks on Drugs. Tetsu was under Warner probably because he felt that his solo work wouldn't be as taken cared of as other solo artists (I think this one is pertaining to Hyde).
But now let's balance things. Hyde never got swell headed. He didn't expect Roentgen to do well in the market and he was right. It didn't do so well but it still sold. Tetsu isn't satisfied with his solo work because it didn't do well either. Although fans had been wondering, Tetsu had been known to write happier music for laruku but in his solo work, it didn't sound so happy. Some even interpreted some songs as his feelings toward his break-up with K.M (ELT) which was neither admited nor confirmed. Only Tetsu knows what's happening now. But surely they didn't get married nor were they engaged.
