aw, yeah [May. 8th, 2008|08:23 pm]

Steve Carrell as Max Smart may be one of the better casting choices since Patrick Stewart as Prof. X. This one looks all sorts of fun :)

Decision 2008: Uwe Boll says he'll stop making movies if enough people sign his online petition.

Dr. Boll's thoughts:

The petition itself is here.

You know what to do.

A box full of suggestions for your possible heart

In case you're wondering:

[info]here_from_there is where I'll be putting my space-based musings and whatnot.
[info]west_from_here is where all the China news and whatnot will be going.

Feel free to add either one. I'll still be posting random thoughts and life-stuff here.

Thoughts and musings: Let's See How Far We've Come [Mar. 3rd, 2008|05:51 pm]
This video makes me happy:

In other news, I've decided to make a couple of different ljs for different projects of mine. I'm going to have one focused specifically on space-based issues in two sections: 1. What went wrong : a history of the obstructions to the space industry and the myriad things that have kept us earthbound since the moon landing, and 2. China: current events and relevant history. Attempting to keep those two topics focused amidst the various and sundry scraps of brainskin, random info-dumps, and personal current events kept here simply isn't working. So yeah. If anyone wants in on that, drop me a line. I'll be posting the links as soon as they're up.

In other news, I'll be back at class starting Monday of next week. Can't wait :)

The next time I watch Mr. and Mrs. Smith, I'm going to play a game. A drinking game. I'm going to take a drink every time I hear the word "Honeyyyyyy".

Before doing this, I'm going to watch the movie again to make sure this won't make me go blind. We learned that lesson the last time James and Jordan took a drink anytime anyone said "Mothafucka" in Dolemite.

worst acting ever. [Feb. 20th, 2008|10:17 am]
(from tvtropes.org)

"A Narm is a moment that is supposed to be serious, but due to either over-sappiness, poor execution, or the sheer absurdity of the situation, the drama is lost. The moment is often found funny by fans."
