BEST SITE EVER.

So because I missed Atlantis the first time around, I had to go down and watch the midnight run.

In doing so, I caught the last 15 minutes of "Turn Left" because besides a comedian I was watching on the next channel, there was literally nothing on.

...Oh the mind-numbing stupid. Mind. Numbing. Stupid. Argh. And that's all I'm going to say about THAT.

Sounds like the plan for tomorrow is to see Dark Knight at some point with Ari (who saw it today), and going out to Five Guys with, well, the guys. TOTALLY GETTING A BURGER WITH EVERYTHING ON IT. \o/ For I am daring and stupid and will try anything once for the hell of it (except fucking death coasters, apparently).

And what I mean is, before we got to do ANYTHING, a thunderstorm hit. Not only were we chased out of the Boardwalk mere minutes after all the changing and sunscreening and getting in line, we were also kicked off the one covered ride we'd found was still running. After sitting out in the dripping and jumping at thunder, it moved off, but we still sat. Waiting.

Once it cleared up (it might've been an hour before they started opening stuff up again), we did a few milder rides before tackling Lightning Racer, which we happened to be sitting right by. The Lightning side has a high winning streak, which is probably why there were fewer people in the Thunder line. :P So we went on that and lost--but after a mild panic attack (I must've sounded like the biggest dork when we were ascending the hill, breathing and going 'it's okay, I'm okay, I'm good, this is good'--hey, it's been literally years since I've been on a coaster), and the first screaming drop (which is usually the worst, of course), I thought it was only the best thing ever and threw my hands up. I couldn't get my brother to do so, who was sitting beside me. XD Mum's bandana came flying off, which I didn't notice until it happened to be sitting at our feet. How it stayed there, we'll never know.

Bro HAD to do Fahrenheit, so he went, and the rest of us waited.

Let me tell you a little something about this. This is the ride that takes up up 90 degrees and drops you in the steepest drop ever--97 degrees. Sounds badass, right? Right! I already told him I wasn't going on it, no way, no how, he was not dragging me on it. But knowing me, and depending on how many coasters we hit, and my confidence level from them, I figured, hey, I'll probably see it and think it's awesome.

Um. No.

It looks like death. IF DEATH WAS AN INANIMATE OBJECT, FAHRENHEIT WOULD BE IT, I AM TELLING YOU. I am telling you, I don't know the names for some of the inversions they had; I'm starting to think they totally made some of that shit up. I mean, oh my god. It looked like the most massively intense thing in the universe. I watched train after train in awe. And my brother wanted to ride this?! It doesn't even launch you up. XD You are slowly lifted up. At 90 degrees. Fuck, I'll take the 97 degree drop at that rate! The REST of it looked...eerily like something I would have made in Rollercoaster Tycoon. >>

I love coasters, don't get me wrong. I'll watch all the shows and the names and the physics. You just would never be able to GET me on half of 'em. Sad, I know.

Well, while we were waiting on him (long line, few trains with few seats (stadium seating, on a coaster, whoa!)), I dragged mum to the Howler. Except I wasn't allowed to spin it much. Which was a shame. It's like spinning teacups, but in the air, and tilted. She felt sick afterward. The heat was MASSIVE oppressive. And it was already getting late. So much time wasted from the storm. You should've seen my bored hateful deathglare.

So we got a bite to eat, and mum stayed with our stuff, not wanting to go on anything else. So we headed off to the Boardwalk. Did 2 of the slides with my bro. Whirlwind was first, and lulz, someone sits facing forward, another facing back, and there's this pretty sharp drop that's surprising even when you see it coming. While I knew what to expect, hearing my brother WTF at when you come out of the drop and go up along the wall...it was great. He couldn't get out of the tube at first. XD And he and dad and I went on the Vortex afterward. THE WAIT. WAS. WTF. Over half an hour. We both sat forward. The drop's not bad, but you go into this, well...vortex. You spin around and around like 5 times, getting sprayed in the face all the while, and then we got sucked out backwards. It may have actually been more awesome than the Whirlwind.

By then, the Waterworks had, apparently, closed. D: I loved hearing the signal that the huge bucket-o-water at the top of it all was going to spill, and I'd always watch it going DROP DROP DROP and cheer when it did. XD; IT WAS GREAT EVEN IF I DIDN'T EXPERIENCE IT FIRSTHAND STFU. So we went to Canyon River Rapids WHICH I ♥ SO BAD. We three got a raft to ourselves. When it says that you WILL get soaked, they mean it. Not like the Six Flags one where you actually could probably make it out of that with only your shoes a bit wet. It was great.

And then we stood in the Tidal Force spash zone. >3 Before finding mum, drying off, and heading home. Got back at about 8:30.

So while it was...highly disappointing--we didn't hit much of anything, and we didn't even go to the area where the Great Bear was, only rode one coaster!--it was still fun, and I was SOAKED AND TIRED and I stripped off, got a nibble, went to bed for a bit. Took some aspirin.

I'm much more awake now.

MISSED ATLANTIS. ARGH, DAMN IT--so I'll just have to catch the repeat in about half an hour.


...Also, seriously, I just want to take mum aside the next time she watches DW and say 'you're not gonna like this, get out while you can'. D: (Also, where the HELL is my Whopocalypse? Maybe the wankers are just waiting for the US airing? I see plenty of disdain and secrets, but no wank. Most. Surprising. Ever.)

I dusted off (again) AU!Mephiles, didn't know what to do with my OU!Shadow who I might soon make AU for the hell of it--or taken from another time in his canon--so I rewatched the Suffering Painfully Doomed Shadow Show again. XD For the gajillionth time. And...voila.

Why yes I have rediscovered a fandom of mine why do you ask. :| I totally have not been getting back on track doing all 326 Shadow stories (72 down~). And I totally have not been eyeing the comics again.

Been doing some art--finished Jackie + Percy~ Although I don't know about Jackie's hair. It's not dark enough. But I don't want it to look...super-red or super-brown or...whatever. Need to finish Jackie sketch.

Tomorrow I'm getting up earlier so I can shave and get some stuff around house and internet done before going to Hersheypark 'til who knows when when we leave at about 1:30. I looked at the ride list on their site again. My god. The number of mild, kiddish things I want to do/go on just because somehow I know it'll be fun even tho I'm 18. XD Also I think the only two things I decided I WASN'T going on were Storm Runner and FarenheightIcan'tspellit. I think I'm even willing to give Sidewinder a go (where it shoots forward through some loops, then goes backwards back to the station).

WHICH MEANS I SHOULD GO TO BED LULZ I have way too many stupid icons now. 8| I should get me a paid account or two. MAYBE FIND A PLACE TO USE THESE ZETSUBOU ICONS.

8D I started a sketch I kinda owed last night. It looks ugly and horrifying, but nevertheless, I'm rather ridiculously proud of it. Maybe because I actually got the one really weird pose (the pose itself isn't spectacularly strange, but damn if it wasn't normal and one that I knew I couldn't do easily if at all!) to look...semi-normal. 'Course it's COVERED in erasures in little places and just about everywhere, so I might see if I can't do a quick inking or if I can't get it onto my tracing paper.

Need more to eat, this TV dinner has way too much lemon in it. ;; And my room is ridiculously hot. ARI MAYBE YOU SHOULD COME OVER WITH BATMAN STUFF, I APPARENTLY HAVE NOTHING TO DO TODAY. Or I could get off and do my drawings now. Maybe. I fail spectacularly at inking, but if I leave things as sketches, they end up smudging everywhere and fading with time and whatever.

THEN AGAIN DON'T I HAVE A BAJILLION THINGS TO WRITE, TOO? LULZ. Maybe I'll just walk to Dots. It's a nice enough day. Rawr. I dunno.

I went to bed at midnight last night (which isn't to say I slept then--I took some Sominex at 1 and tossed and turned more) and got up, once more, at noon. More tired than I ought to have been.

Dreams with chorus and zombies who turned out to be stupid guys pulling a prank = wut lulz.

Man I WISH I could go to the midnight Dark Knight show. If I could even find a way there and back, it'd be nearly 3 AM by the time I got back, cuz it's 2 1/2 hours long. And my parents usually want me home by 10 or 11. -_- And once more, I'm not allowed to ride with Ari when she's driving until she gets more experience, so it's not like we could go and I could crash at her place.

I guess it's just as well if we're leaving for Hershey around 1.

HRM I'M BORED NOW. Maybe I should watch yet another episode of Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. :P I'm so addicted to that crazy, awesome show.

So...I just watched the first episode of Lucky Star. Subbed and dubbed.

WHAT. IS. THIS CRACK. It has not plot! It's random scenes thrown together! They spent 8 minutes talking about how to eat various foods! WUT.

...But it amuses me. XD

I KIND OF ALSO WATCHED THE FIRST EPISODE OF SAYONARA ZETSUBOU SENSEI AGAIN. I think I only got 3 epis into it. I have to continue. :o Because I love that show. I would say I hope it gets dubbed if it weren't for the fact that there are a lot of jokes that won't translate. But I think the manga's being translated?

Mum and I measured myself out for this chart for jeans and all? I think I mentioned it before. When I look at the sizes of everything for all these brands and stores, it's easy to see why it's so hard to find pants that fit! Looks like I'll have to try Aeropostale, they're the only one with a size that's just perfect for what I measured out. (Watch as they won't fit at all.) I hate shopping at places like that and usually refuse to step foot in them. They're so...brand name focused. The kinda store with their name plastered on everything. I dunno. I never liked it. I'd rather get stuff from, y'know, Sears or JCPenny or something like that.

I suggested that maybe I take a sorta What Not To Wear day for myself, go through my things, go splurge on well-fitting pants and shoes. A lot of the pants have an inseam a few inches longer than I measured because I'm short, and mum suggested I could invest in some higher shoes, like something with more platform, and wedges, because wearing things that long with sneakers just doesn't cut it. All I have are...my trusty pair of sneakers, my black boots that I need to replace because the inside's all coming apart, my white boots that are actually kind of ugly but I got them because they were for my Danny Phantom costume (they have this weird-ass texture up to the knee, but if I cover them with jeans, they're cute), my prom dress stripper heels (which mum tried on and decided more power to me if I could wear them more than a couple minutes), a pair of nice black shoes with a smaller heel just to look nice, and my slippers. I'm not a fan of flip-flops--I can't stand sandals with the little wedge between your toes. They have to be totally open toed. As for wedges and stuff, I've never tried them. I won't get crocs, and I won't get those platform sandals that are, y'know, made out of foamy crap.

Oh, Dots is hiring. I think in the next week or so, I need to look around for jobs. I want to go down to Dots anyway and see what cute stuff they have.

I kind of don't want to spend too much on useless things until I have a job...like paid accounts and BPAL and DVDs and toys...although the TFA DVD coming out next month is like $27 or so. That's cheap enough. And movies, I guess. :\ It's so expensive just for tickets, but OBVIOUSLY I have to see Dark Knight, prolly X-Files, and Star Wars...

Eh, anyway, lazy Sunday. Been playing SA2 in English and Japanese, gonna get back to Shadow eventually, stuff like that.

Handguns went first, and sadly, they only got pity claps. It was another tragic case of decent music (when it didn't sound like each instrument was playing a whole 'nother song) ruined if not by themselves then by the poor vocals.

Farwell Flight came next, and more people were into them, and they did a lot of newer songs, like from the Lost At Sea EP and a song or two from their new album (Sound.Color.Motion, coming out August 19th--I really want to preorder it for some extra goodies, like a signed poster and such).

Both of them I sat in the very front for. There were so fewer people around than for the steel drum band--maybe because they didn't advertise it as much. But after FF, some of my friends spotted me. An old friend is apparently here for the summer! Noel moved away a couple years ago, but she's back on the east coast. Apparently she's going to school in New York, which is sweet.

So I chilled with them for Safari So Good. Popular around here, the only band to really get people to stand. Eh. I wasn't so thrilled with them. They got me to bop a bit, but they were easily forgettable.

I got a new FF shirt (a medium--they must be guys mediums, as it's way long on me) and the Lost At Sea EP for less than $20. (Both were a dollar or two less than on their myspace.)

It was a few hours out of the house, in my Darkwing Duck shirt, which Noel agrees is like the most badass shirt EVAR, met up with some friends, saw FF, got some stuff. At least it got me off and out for a bit.

Random segue, my new issue of Seventeen (yes, I get that magazine, STFU, I really do read the articles and take some fashion advice into account) is apparently 'the denim issue', and there's this great pullout bit where I can find great fitting jeans by measuring my waist, hips, and inseam, then comparing them to these different, popular, easily found brands in terms of what size. Mum and I are gonna try it out.

Saturday is dad's family reunion, and we all decided to go. A friend of mine and I are planning on meeting up sometime in the next week--were going to before the other week when things weren't going quite my way. Hersheypark should be really soon, too. Family still needs to decide exactly when.

Been organizing my icons, catching up at TFAU now that it's active again, as well as Bellum. Have a fic or two I want to get cracking on--it feels weird writing for myself instead of RPing. XD It's rather daunting now. Ave a couple mini-art projects I want to get a jump on. Also need to sit down and organize shit. Look to see about job opportunities, colleges, the like.

I know I had a dream with Doctor Who...that's not very surprising. And I think something non-fandom related with a store? Who knows, I'm always dreaming up stuff about shopping.

Mrr--I don't know if it's my sleeping habits (going to be around 3:30-4 and waking up at noon) or my period that's fucking with eating. I haven't been very hungry as of late. I don't eat much. I completely skipped lunch today because I'm just not hungry. It's kinda weirding me out a bit.

BTW. I FORGOT TO TELL YOU. So the library does these free concerts on the lawn thing over summer. Mum and I went to one with steel drums and the atmosphere sucked so we left early. TOMORROW NIGHT. ROCK CONCERT. FAREWELL FLIGHT WILL BE THERE. (Along with Safari So Good and Handguns and I don't know if anyone else will be.) On their myspace they say "NEW ALBUM AVAILABLE THIS TOUR!!"--WHICH LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THAT THEY FINALLY FINISHED THEIR FULL ALBUM?! I hope they have that and the Lost At Sea EP (that I still need). Maybe they'll sell shirts there, too? IT MAKES ME SO PUMPED.

There are a couple other dates around here through the summer, but I suggest checking out their myspace if you're at all interested in them and where else they're traveling. All I know is, I'm also looking at Aug 31 2008 4:00P Kipona Festival Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

I ALSO HAVE 2 MOVIES THIS MONTH AT LEAST--I've heard Hancock really kinda sucks so I'll probably skip it, but DARK KNIGHT and X-FILES~~~ \o/

The Quarantine date has moved up to October 10th and there's a theatrical trailer now--it still looks like it sucks compared to [REC], but...

Also, if you haven't seen the promos and trailers and whatnot for Quantum of Solace, do so now. I'm pumped.
