11:17 am: Cottage - Part 2 - The Food
We were eating and drinking non-stop at the cottage. The Score Bar Cheesecake was made by Mary; served at the end of our first dinner at the cottage. A fine way to start our stay. A few pictures behind the LJ-Cut. 

10:51 am: Cottage - Part 1
Last weekend, we spent the long weekend at a cottage near Tobermory (Bruce Peninsula) with Ellen and Marie. The owners of the cottage are Doug and Mary, very good friends of ours. A few pictures behind the LJ-Cut.

05:07 pm: Comic Book Update
I have started reading a comic-book 12-part  series called Avengers Invaders. I've read the Invaders 30 years ago, and to see them again was a big surprise. The drawing style is different; more elaborate than before. I bought two issues (that's all there is so far). A few pictures behind the LJ-Cut.

04:57 pm: Reading Update
I've recently finished reading a book called "Sophie's World" by Jostein Gaarder. It is a history of Philosophy for beginners. The story has a fantasy/surreal  twist which I enjoyed.




I have started reading "The Conquest of Happiness" five times; I keep getting distracted to go beyond chapter two. We are going to a cottage next weekend, and I am determined to finish this book. It's by Bertrand Russell.

06:13 pm: The Big Tree
Yesterday, Cloyce came home with an evergreen tree in the car. The tree was very, very heavy. A few pictures behind the LJ-Cut.

07:15 pm: House on the Hill
Cloyce and I saw Bob and Meirion on the weekend.  A few pictures of their house, pets, and a Thai restaurant behind the LJ-Cut.

05:44 pm: Teaching Teachers
On Saturday morning, I went with Cloyce to the Board Office where he teaches teacher to teach better. A few pictures behind the LJ-Cut.

 

04:55 pm: Water Fountain
Cloyce has bought the pump for the water fountain.  We were at Campbellford yesterday purchasing the base for the fountain. A few pictures behind the LJ-Cut.

08:57 pm: Seafood Tower
We were at St. Germaine restaurant on Saturday evening. As usual, we ordered the Seafood Tower as an appetizer for two. A few pictures and a very brief video clip behind the LJ-Cut.

06:46 pm: House Progress in Warkworth
Yesterday we went to Warkworth to see Bob and Meirion. Unfortunately it was raining and cold. But that did not stop from seeing the progress on their home. A few pictures behind the LJ-Cut.

04:29 pm: Eating-Fest Weekend
On Friday evening, we went to Harvest restaurant in Picton. This restaurant is very famous for its fine cuisine. Then on Saturday evening, we went to Chez Piggy in Kingston. And Heather prepared home-cooked breakfast Saturday and Sunday morning. It was a decadent weekend. A few pictures behind the LJ-Cut.

07:46 am: The Red Barns B & B
Cloyce and I are staying at the Red Barns Bed and Breakfast at Picton. The owners, Heather and Pete, are the couple who taught us stained glass last year. They have a bed and breakfast, and studios where they teach glass-blowing and stained glass. I'm posting while we are guests in the B & B. A few pictures behind the LJ-Cut.
