Doctor Who wouldn't let go of my brain enough to write, so I succumbed and made icons. I was going to make 40 or so, but then I guess my ADD struck because... I only got to 20 before I got tired of making them. :D So I made 24 and decided to go ahead and put them up. Hopefully this will free my brain for other endeavors.
Since a couple icons are from beyond "Silence in the Library," and I don't know where exactly SciFi is (because the stupid guide won't give me a title for the episode airing tomorrow night), and because I would have wanted this courtesy, there are no teasers in case of spoilers. The icons go from Silence in the Library up to 4x11 or 4x12. The next-to-last episode, anyway. You have been warned!

Yep, 18 icons of Nadine Butler, from my novel On the Air. But Geonn, you say (yes, you did, I heard you), that is a novel as you just pointed out eight seconds ago. How could you possibly have non-text icons from a novel? Well, it just so happens I based Nadine Butler off Teryl Rothery's character in an episode of "The Outer Limits." Before now, I only had two or three pictures from that episode to work with.
But maekala is a junkie's goddess, and hooked me up with both of Teryl's episodes. I, of course, immediately set out and capped as many Nadine-esque moments as I could find. The result is sitting right here, all pretty. I have to say, these would work REALLY well as Nadine Butler. I don't see how icons from an On the Air movie (and I'm totally open to the idea, Hollywood. Call me) would be very different. Well... I mean, Amanda would be there. And there would be more than 18 icons. And lots of kissing. But other than that. ;-D The dark shots with lights shining on Teryl's face, that's totally her in her booth.
So, I don't know if anyone but me is interested in these. But they ARE Teryl. So I figured why not see if people want to use 'em. They're here for the taking! You can take any you want, or just marvel at the beauty that is Nadine Butler. Er, Teryl Rothery. Eh, six of one... ;-D

Since the USPS obviously hates me, I needed some Doctor love. So... 24 Doctor Who icons! Including two of Rose and one with Rose and Nine, because I watched "Dalek" last week. The rest are from all over, but mostly the fourth season from the episodes people told me to watch. Utopia/Sound of Drums/Last of the Time Lords, Voyage of the Damned, Fires of Pompeii, Planet of the Ood, um... oh, and the Sontaran episodes.

Okay, this icon set is a little... okay, a lot... different than my usual ones. First and foremost, not everyone should click on this cut tag. The icons behind the cut don't contain nudity, but they do contain nakedness. And sex. There are no bits visible, but that's because they're covered. Usually by hands, or hair, or strips of cloth. But the women are, in almost 100% of the icons, naked.
That's because... well. These icons are from pornography. There's no getting around it. They're from a movie calld "Unfaithful 2" and it's a beautiful, beautiful film by Viv Thomas. There were so many things I wanted to make into an icon and, when I capped everything, I had enough for a whole post. So I sucked up my pride, rysler told me to live a little, and here's the post. But I'm not going to scare anyone with this. So another warning:

It's hardly anything you couldn't see on TV, I think. I went to great lengths to make sure there were no... slips (I may not have succeeded every time, but the times I failed can be attributed to, um... shadow :D). ETA: The last four are from the first movie, "Unfaithful." Yes, it's a series. :D It's foreign, too. There's a plot... it's good. It's very good. ~recommends~

Phil and I kinda became "official" on Monday. While that freaks me out hugely it also makes me smile a really huge, happy smile :D
He's taking me out to lunch today, and when he comes to pick me up he wants to, in his words, "Come in briefly and meet my parents."

Now, he's been in my house before, twice in fact, but my parents have never been there and we weren't dating at the time. I'm not worried about them meeting him; he's sweet and lovely and looks after me and that's all they care about. I'm worried about him meeting them. These are the people who got together and produced me. They aren't exactly what you'd call... normal :P
I'm sure it'll be fine. The "brief" part of the meeting is good, and as my friend Ellie said on Friday night it'll get the meet and great over and done with without them actually having to spend any real time together. That will put my parents mind at rest (seeing he's not a psychopath etc) so will put off the inevitable invitation of coming round to dinner.
Hopefully lol
The sun appears to be out at the moment and I'd like it to stay out please. After dinner we're going for a walk and rain definitely ruins walks.

The bounty continues from maekala's disc. After I watched SGA and made the icons, I watched one of the movies she included on the disc. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, I have never seen High Art. :D I am appropriately ashamed of myself, thank you very much. Especially now that I've seen it! Reeeeally great movie, but the ending made me sad :(
