Okay, it has been way too long since I've updated. I'll try to keep this short and sweet.

I got back from Holland two weeks ago. I had a lot of fun, but I'm actually pretty happy to be home. Matt came over to visit me in February, and we drove from Enschede, Netherlands (near where I was staying) down to Munich, Germany and stayed there for a couple of days. Then we went to Venice, Italy and stayed for a few days. Then we went to Paris, France for a few days. Then back home. So we got to see Holland, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, France and Belgium. Then in early March, I found some cheap airline tickets (note to self, discount airlines are discount for a reason...) and flew to London, which was a lot of fun. If you're interested in details, you can ask me about more, but I don't want to bore all of you. So...pictures!
Don't worry, unlike the last set, these are all work safe pictures )

Hmm...lots to say. I'll keep it short, as I just got off shift and am ready to crawl into bed. I've been in Holland for almost two weeks now. The day after we flew in, we took the train back into Amsterdam (we're about 2 hours east of Amsterdam, near Enschede) and visited there. What a unique place...can only be described best through pictures - which I've luckily supplied. Enjoy.
Photos from Amsterdam - caution, some photos NSFW )

Once again, I SUCK at keeping up to date with LJ.

I am officially going to Europe in January. I am to report to Urenco Nederland B.V.  on January 7, 2008. I'm excited and scared and happy and nervous all at the same time. This will be my first trip to Europe, and I'll be there for nearly three months. Two of my favorite coworkers are also headed over at the same time, so I know it's going to be a fun time, but it's also going to be stressful for me to be away from Matt for so long.

So...that's pretty much my life. Nothing too exciting. My Steelers rock again this year, so football season has been fantastic. Work is great, Halloween was great (even if I drank myself sick with vodka), Matt and I are great, my friends are great, the pets are doing well, and we're loving our house. I am truly enjoying life right now. I am so happy with how this past year has turned out, especially having made some major life changes.

I'll bet you all wondered where I went, didn't you? No? Ah, well, that's okay.

Things here have been really good. My passport came in the mail yesterday, so I might actually be heading to Europe for a few months in January (cross your fingers)! The sooner I go to Europe, the sooner I can come back and Matt and I can think about starting a family. We'd do it now, but I'm not so keen on being pregnant/giving birth while in the Netherlands without my husband. So yeah. The sooner I come back, the better.

Um...nothing else is that new, really. I love my life, even when it's not so exciting.

Now I'm pretty much wondering how everyone else is doing. Drop me a comment and let me know!

Wow...January? That's the last time that I posted in this thing?

Things are going well. I enjoy my new job, and all my new friends here in Hobbs. Matt seems to enjoy his job, although they really work him to death. We just bought a new house about three weeks ago. Sadly, I haven't been able to be there...I'm in New Jersey right now for work. I was in Pittsburgh last week for work. So...since we've moved in, I spent about 1/2 of a night there. Haven't even got to unpack yet. We moved the kitties over and they seem to love the house. All three of them. Yep, we have three now. Sniffles, Bob, and Dave. They're great cats. Umm...yeah. So I'm really not sure what to say. A lot has changed, but I think I'm at a loss as to where to begin. So if there's anything you want to know, just ask.

I've gotta run and get some dinner. Gotta get to bed early so that I can drive to Philadelphia tomorrow morning for a flight out.

Once again, it's been awhile since I've updated. Sorry guys.

I'm moved down to Hobbs now. I really like it. Matt and I won't have much here until Friday (that's when the movers deliver stuff) but it's nice to be in a somewhat larger town - you know, one where if I don't feel like cooking, I don't have to choose between Taco Bell and McDonalds...I can actually eat Subway and Quiznos and stuff. I love it. But Matt's in Ft. Worth until mid-March, which sucks. So...I'm here by myself, with Sniffles and Bob. Bob is a new kitty that Matt picked up as a stray. He's real sweet, but he and Sniffles aren't getting along real well just yet. We'll give it some time. And we'll get him declawed, since he likes to take swipes at Sniffles.

I really like my job so far. I'm the only girl, which is kind of cool. The guys don't seem to mind having a girl in the mix, and that's good. My job is slightly boring right now, but once I start training, things will get better. I can't complain - I know that I'm going to love my job once it starts up, it's just going to be slightly boring in the meantime. I like my boss and my coworkers, though, so things will be okay.

Well, I guess that's all I have for now.

I think a Christmas Carol by Rosie O'Donnell just killed my soul.

It's official - I'm moving to Hobbs at the end of this month/beginning of January and starting my new job with the NEF on January 2. I feel like this is a fresh start for me, and I am excited to do it. I will be continuing with my graduate studies through distance education, and I will either take Failure Analysis or Advanced Characterization Techniques. It all depends as to whether Dr. Burleigh is able to pull the strings to get me to take Failure from a distance (since it's not offered distance ed anymore).
For the first time in many weeks, I feel like I am happy and making a step in the right direction.

Dear Life,
Please stop the train. I want off.

Thanks,
