07:24 pm Now, I know just about everyone out there is probably completely over the end of Angel, but the finale aired just a couple of weeks ago in my neck of the world, and although I did download it months ago ::ahem:: I've been getting kinda nostalgic.
So I've been watching vids to try and dull the pain ... and because, well, I'm maybe just a teensy bit addicted to them, but that's neither here nor there. *g*
So, I'm going to spread the love. These are some seriously great Angel the Series Finale vids, imho: Apocalypse, Please by CEC, music by Muse. Not Fade Away by Holly Gilmore, music Let Go, by Frou Frou. One Life by Lynn, music by U2. And probably my favourite, although Aplocalypse Please comes close, Cleansed by Fire by Robert Flannigan, music by Alice Cooper.
And because we are, after all, talking about the end of Angel, I feel obliged to include a link to ats_nolimits. Although, as brilliant as we all know it's going to be, it's almost as bad as waiting for the new series of Angel to actually start. You gotta give 'em kudos for keeping it real. *g*

04:35 pm This is it, the very end. Thanks so much to anyone who ever commented, and to everyone else who just read it. I know my happy ending probably won't make up for the rest of the angst, but I do hope it will make you hate me slightly less. *g* And vampirellabites, I hope you're not too disappointed that Spike doesn't die horribly unhappy and alone. If you stop reading now, you can still pretend like that's how it happens. ;-)

04:15 pm Alright, for the three people who managed to stick around for the end, I'm gonna post the last three parts of A Harsh Master.
It almost seems like a shame to post them all at once. I actually managed to get a bit cliffhangery in a couple of them, but I did promise a happy ending.
I'm not really working on anything else at the moment, either, so once this is all out there I'm not sure what I'm going to do with myself. Someone did mention a vamp!Xander idea that I must admit has me kind of intrigued, and I have got about three old stores waiting to be finished, plus one het thing, but I just haven't felt the urge recently. I guess I'll just have to search extra hard for fic to keep me amused. *g* Apart from bloodclaim, are there any rec-type journals out there? Or sites? Or tell me your favourite story and I'll love you forever?
Okay, one request. The sad bits. I just gotta know if they are. Sad, I mean. The short of it: Tell me if I manage to make you cry. *g*
( just a few more bits and it's all over. A Harsh Master, part 17 ... )

12:35 pm Another little snippet of Angel pov, becasue I was dying to know what was happening in Spike's head.

05:52 pm I finished reading Neverwhere, by Neil Gaiman this morning. That is one seriously good book. Is it just my warped imagination, or was it made into some sort of a tv show at some stage? All I really remember was that it was bad, so really I guess I could be thinking of any number of shows. Meh, whatever, the book made up for it. I understand I've now got to try American gods, seeing as I'm not a great comics fan.
vampirellabites and piksa have requested more Harsh Master, so I am gonna post some, but I must admit I'm a little hesitant. This bit is ... not very happy. And I saw those rolled eyes, people. *g*
G'on, read it anyway. It's all pivotal and stuff. I tell you what, I'll link you to some schmoop to help you recover. What about ... Sweetness and Light by RabidX. It's pretty schmoopy, and one of my favourites. Or ... Hot Showers and Cold Baths by Michelle (sorry about the site). It's schmoopy *and* smutty. *g* Or we could ask darkhavens. I understand she's been keeping some in reserve for when she's reads my story.
So, with those links firmly in hand, I give you ...

12:32 pm A very good afternoon, my dears!
Very good, I say, because I have just read part 2 of Male Bonding and quite possibly have a new candidate for favourite fic ever. Ever! I tells you. God, I'm still recovering. ::fans self::
Due to this sudden case of incoherence, I'm going to have to keep this brief. So ...

01:56 pm Well, here we go, as promised. It was touch and go there for a while. The cable stopped working. Fortunately, I did nothing, switched on a couple of Angel dvds and it all worked itself out. *g*
Thanks first of all to everyone who read part 12. It was very brave of you. You'll be happy to know things are starting to move in a forward direction ... although, it kinda depends on where you're standing ... Still, after this I'm thinking five, maybe six more parts, so we're nearly at the end.
( I figure if you don't hate me yet, you're probably not going to start now, so ... A Harsh Master: Part 13 )

03:36 pm God, I love the weekend. Tomorrow is usually my catch up on lj day, but it's cold, I have a fire and a cake in the oven, and sitting in front of the computer doing nothing has got to be somewhere this side of heaven.
Being the weekend, it also means I get to post more story! I know we write these things for ourselves, for the most part, but I do love hearing people's reactions. *g* So, to everyone on my friendly list and everyone else who felt commenty, thanks and hugs and chocolate cake! and ... Lindt? Best damn chocolate in this country.
Okay, this is just making me hungry. Back to the point, which was, I think, I love lj.
With that in mind, I'd just like to apologise in advance for part 12. *g* I love that part. The shit hits the fan, folks, I'm telling ya. I know, I know. ::is an angst junkie::
I am going to past part 13 tomorrow, promise, but I have just *got* to see how people react to my attempt at a cliffhanger. Please? ::puppy-dog eyes::
Aaaand, for part 11 I give you ... prepare to be astonished ... non-truncated sex warning. That's right, it's the bit that might possibly justify the nc-17 warning.
( a little bit of sex, a little bit of angst, and you've got A Harsh Master, part 11 )

July 11th, 2004
10:53 am This is really two bits, but they're both mostly Scooby interaction, so I figured it might be easier to swallow if you got them together. :-) No bashing, quite the opposite, in fact. Spike comes in at the end, in case you want to skip to there.
( Part ten of A Harsh Master. Enjoy! )
|
10:37 am Another long bit. This one especially dedicated to anyone in Sydney, where, for the first time in a long time, it's actually cold and raining, and nothing like this. *g*
Oh, and truncated smut warning. Again. Sorry.

10:21 am Okay, I'm gonna spend today going through a week's worth of posts and comments yet again. I got to some of the comments earlier in the week, but if you commented and I never responded, I'm so sorry and I'm gonna do it right now, I promise.
But, before I do that, I'm posting some story, so it doesn't get to this evening and I've completely forgotten to do so. :-)
I'm sorry if anyone's been waiting for this. I'm going to post a few parts like I did last weekend in an attempt to catch up.

02:07 pm I've been neglecting my friends list, I'm afraid. ::sigh:: This makes me feel terrible. But, I've spent the past couple of days attempting to catch up on what's been happening around and about.
vampirellabites has started posting Sleeping With Ghosts to her journal. I kinda love that story. Post-Chosen, human Spike, sucessful Xander and she's got a great take on the relationship. doyle_sb4 wrote a wonderful Fred/Dru piece that I just can't get out of my head. And I know it's been done elsewhere, but if you haven't found it yet, there's quite a good Angel Season 6 thing going on at Heroes. They're nearly up to episode four now.
I'm all behind on my vids, as well. Anyone know if there are there any new ones that I shouldn't miss? The last one I saw was Rev 22.20 by Charmax. Which was so freaking brilliant I can't even *express* how much you should download and watch that vid, if you haven't already. (It's in Angel Music Vidoes 2, which will make sense once you're at the site. *g*)
And I couldn't help but notice that I've aquired a couple of new friends! *g* So, in honour of dancetomato and eyezrthewindows (and certainly not because I was gonna post some anyway ::coughcough::) I'm thinking a little fic. I keep promising angst, but it's taking a while to get there, and seeing as my schedule is shot to all hell, I'm just gonna post a few bits at once. It's not like it isn't all finished and sitting on my hard drive anyway.
( What are we up to, part six? Meh, whatever, the bit that comes after tha last bit of A Harsh Master ... )

I just feel like it.

07:39 pm Eek, I know I said Sunday, and that it is not, now, by any stretch of the imagination, still the weekend. I can imagine how distressed y'all were. ::snerk::
Stocktake was kinda nightmarish, although it was miles better than some of the ones we've done in the past. Unfortunately, that's not saying much. *g* I came away with more aches and pains than I feel can be entirely justified, given that I mostly sat at a computer for seven hours and entered data, but I still warrant a *little* sympathy, don't I? ::Xander-inspired puppy-dog eyes::
Still, here we go. Part three of my depressing little story. Bear in mind I don't write smut. I certainly don't write smut well. So this was something of a challenge for me. Do try not to judge too harshy. *g*
This bit, the whole thing, really, is dedicated to mwrgana, without whom it would never have been writen. She likes to encourage me to greater levels of sex in my fic. *g* So, if you like it, give her a pat on the back.
( the very belated part four ... )

10:42 am I've had a couple of people now mention to me that my tripod site isn't working, which it apparently isn't. I'm not sure why, but until it's sorted out, if you feel the urge to read the previous two stories, which I mentioned a couple of posts ago, you can find both of them at the Moist and Delicious archive.

08:02 pm Yay! Friday evening. I think I can officially say my first week at my new job went quite well. Not that it's rocket science or anything, but they are paying me, so for the moment I'm happy. And it's occasionally interesting, which I figure is all we can really ask.
'Course, I've promised to go help my mother and her work people with stocktaking all weekend. She works in office supplies. Office supplies! With thousands of pens and individual manilla folders and lots of other freaking annoying things to count. Ah, well. ::is a pushover::
So, I promised a bit every two days, and I shall deliver. I recieved lots of threats for the last part, which was really sweet of y'all!
There is no angst here, but I feel I should warn people that it isn't going to stay that way. Feel free to drop me like a hot coal whenever the fancy strikes. *g*
I hope you enjoy ...

08:17 pm Ungh, so tired. Someone asked me a particularly pertinent question today. Why do human beings have to work?
If I had anything interesting to say, it has officially left my brain, so without further ado, I give you ...
( A Harsh Master: the second bit. Enjoy! )
Thanks and hugs to everyone who commented last time.
