vieilles_annonces on flickr is a fabulous peruse if you haven't seen her photostream. She basically scans all sorts of vintage ephemera; old magazines, slides, pamphlets, etc.

Recently she has scanned a bunch of stuff from Jet magazines from the 50's, and the articles range from fascinating to absurd. Tidbits about Jazz performers and actors of the time, sensationalist stuff about interracial marriages and wacky stuff like the one posted here.

Heading back toward Boston along Lynn Shore Drive on Sunday night we had to stop the car so I could just ogle the color. I always feel cheesy taking pictures of sunsets, but damn, it was a gorgeous sky.
