Went ahead and booked a room tenatively for gencon, at the airport Econo Lodge. It was cheap, especially shared four ways. I can't realistically beat 300 for a room for four days.

Ok, so trip to Orlando in June, trip to Indianapolis in August.

Planning Indy is a bit trickier. There are next to no rooms left in Indy the week of Gencon... so not only is gas double what it was last time we went, I am having problems getting housing figured out.

One missing child, found after ten minutes, playing happily in the sand box

One shadefly taken out of the box still torn, requiring rearranging the dell a bit to not have holes in the look

One shade fly with an old tear that retore at the patch, but did not go further due to the quick actions of the fighters to tie it closed at the top to prevent further strain

one skanky thing who got in free was taken off the Dell List, thus had to pay her way in Sunday, because she did not work for the required two hours Saturday. She contested this ruling, but the Seneshal and Demo Coordinator and Baronage backed us on it. She just spent the rest of the afternoon telling everyone and their dog how cliquish we (specifically me, but Cory too) are, and how unfair. The fuss she made at the gate was taken care of quickly enough though that the volunteer coordinator did not hear of it, until the end of the day when I mentioned it.

Set up went perfectly, everyone jumped in for take down, we had a plethora of volunteers for everything, not just fighting. We danced, we had photobooth again. It did not make a ton of money, but it did not do bad for the first year we had it up again.

Financially we did wonderfully. I have not talked to Melisand yet, but we had a ton of people mention interest around me.

Over all, it was a very positive experience for a first attempt to autocrat. I am happy!

Ok, news...

Dad's tumor is cancer, it is malignent. They got most of it out but left some behind to save his use of his legs. The Oncologist thinks that it began in another part of his body, and part of that travelled to his brain and became this tumor. We don't know where yet. He will be in SICU for a few days, than go on radiation and such asap.

My own test came back inconclusive, so I will be seeing a specialist tuesday.

Dad has surgery on Thursday for the tumor in his brain. Needless to say I will be spending that day waiting at the hospital. They currently think it will take around five hours. Of course they are keeping him there til it is done. Oh.. and no smoking for him.

Dad is in the hospital. Grandma says he collapsed at work Monday, so they admitted him to find out why. He will apparently be there for at least another week. Oh? and they only told me this today...

Grandma was rushed back to ICU yesterday not breathing again. She was so very tired.

I just got back from Manhatten again

This time my nephew lied to his mother and his host here in wichita, told them he had permission to stay at his other Aunt's house, and rode his bike to his girlfriend's house.

Needless to say no one was particularily impressed. I just took him home to his mother.

The punk smokes and is having sex! He is -14-! The girlfriend looked at me like I was her equal... Almost ignored me when I told them it was time to go and that she did not need to go in the house with him to get his things. I totally don't think so.

This bounty was from a going out of business sale at a decorator fabric shop. All of it became 3.99 a yard, from 33.99 for the black silk, 18 for the cream, and the gold brown was unmarked, the clerk thought it was between 15 and 20 originally, she was not sure.

Mr. Prime, I am going to remind you again: Your policy with GEICO only reimburses you for accidents that occur while you are engaged in the reasonable use of your truck and trailer. As I told you when you originally purchased the policy, GEICO does not offer Megatron coverage, Starscream coverage, Soundwave coverage, Decepticon coverage, or Energon-blast coverage. Those are just not the types of damages we would expect from reasonable use.

To sum up, GEICO has been unable to reimburse you for any repairs, but due to the high number of accidents you have been a party to this month, combined with the many accidents you have had in the preceding five months, your premium has increased to $235, 567.50 per month. While that may seem like a lot, I remind you that it is a savings of $137 over Progressive and $98 over State Farm. Please have your check into our main office by the end of July.

Grandma is still in ICU. She has had one transfusion, and her intestines are still not recovered from the shock of surgery, to function again. Course she lost a third of her large and a chunk of her small to the cancer, so this should not be a suprise. They found while they were in her she had many more polyps, in first stage cancer. Odds are very good that she will gain more with time, that it will come back. This is quite probably what will eventually kill her, though it looks like she will probably survive this time, though more surgery may be required. Right now, in icu, her color is good, her spirits are up, but grandma is very good at hiding it when she does not feel good. That is why she got this sick. She is like a wild animal that sees illness as a sign of weakness. One that people will take advantage of if she lets them see it. As it stands I will likely be here all week. With luck I will be able to go home by next weekend...

My life is like a roller coaster some days. Yesterday was all High and Low, and no real inbetween other than sleep.

Good news being of course gregorys testing. They said his IQ portion hit 133. I have to talk to his doc though about his depression. The psychiatrist thinks he has clinical depression.

TT went ok I guess, but I really didn't feel like I accomplished anything. I don't know if it is because I was tired, or stressed, or the whole foreboding problem, but Kitty really didn't do much. Phased charlie's char out when bad guys with guns showed up is all.
