So, I have been seeing some really cool alternative ways to refer to this holiday.
They include:
Turkey Genocide Day
Turkey Holocaust Day
Thankanindian Day
I know there are others that I have heard but can't think of. Anyone have any other clever alternative titles?

So who is going tonight and what sort of cheesy space thing are you wearing?
I am revisiting a Halloween outfit of a couple years ago that I made. It is perfect.
See you there and be sure to buy me a drink. :)

Insomnia seems to be  contagious. I just read three other LJs with people having the same trouble as I am recently. I go in cycles, with the sleeplessness duration varying. Sometimes it is not being able to go to sleep, sometimes it is waking up several times, and sometimes it is just weird/bad/fucked up dreams that keep the sleep from being restful. This cycle is all three. I finally went to sleep close to 4 this morning, woke up at 5:30 to pee, and my alarm went off at 8. Made derby practice really hard tonight.
I also think I am fighting off some sort of cold thing. My throat was scratchy today and I have been honking away for days. I started taking Airbourne to try to stave it off. I also just took some Aleve nighttime cold stuff, so I am hoping to get both better and sleep from it.

Still no idea how to pull off the viking costume for Saturday. I need to drag out the fur and leather and see if it is actually feasible. A trip to the Garment District/Boston Costume is also in order. Maybe I will call in sick tomorrow...

The last few months have been very hard for me. This is my favorite season and I am just not on top of it.
Debating the worthiness of carving a pumpkin. May just get some sugar ones and make a pie. Trouble is, boi doesn't like pumpkin stuff. Anybody else want to share home made pumpkin pie made with my great-grandmothers from scratch pie crust recipe?
Haven't gotten around to apple picking in years. Need to make pie, too. Same problem as above with that kind of pie as well. What the hell is wrong with him and why am I still with him?!?!?

Anybody know where I can get a good viking horned helmet for a costume that I will have in time for Saturday? I have a ton of leather and fur, so I think I may try to scratch something together.

I am determined to try to alleviate some of my funk by propelling myself back onto the previously interupted path of going to grad school. I am thinking of enrolling the the Harvard Extension school's museum studies program. I have talked to one person in it and he said it was a great program, but I though with all my friends who have connections to Harvard, I would ask my LJ list. Anyone heard or have experience in this program of another one offered by the extension school? How was it? Hard? Fair? Easy? Worth it? etc.

Off to bed. Drat. I have been having trouble sleeping lately so I end up staying up later then I should. Could also have something to do with my intense desire to quit my job. *sigh* I need a vacation...

This is my favorite time of year. I love everything about the transition of summer to fall. Halloween is my favorite.  I hate not being in the mental swing of it. I hate not being prepared. I hate that I have a party I have been looking forward to this weekend and not an iota of a costume and no motivation to get ready. I hate that I have to call the doctor tomorrow and tell her the drugs she gave me to make me better are making me worse. I am sluggish and depressed. I am easily distracted and anxious. I am unsocial and withdrawn.  hate it.

So, someone give me some easy costume ideas! Anyone half half a good costume pair and need the other? I have boxes of costume stuff and no motivation to go through it and hang stuff. I need someone to come over and help me with it or it won't get done. I don't want this holiday to just pass me by!

NEED COSTUME HELP!!!!

Anyone interested in going to an adult toy party tomorrow (Sat) night at 7?

Bad head space tonight. I am antsy and don't want to just sit at home but nothing else seems to appeal. *grump* I have a $10 off coupon from Vick's S but I would want to take a shower before wondering the mall and I am not sure I want to be around that much filthy humanity right now. Although, there is a Godiva there... But wait! I have Godiva hot coca and milk! Score! maybe I will shower and then see how I feel. Drat. Laundry. Maybe shower, throw in some laundry, make some coca and throw in one of the many tasty alcohols I have. Anybody wanna come over and watch movies?

You know, we can see you...

I had one of those moments sitting in the car at a light on the way home. I looked over and saw the guy next to me rooting around in his nose up to the first joint on his index finger! Not a quick Pick-n-Dash, but Really Getting In There! Makes me chuckle how people get so wrapped up in themselves, they forget they are in little glass boxes on wheels.

So, I am on my own this weekend as the boi is down south. What's going on? I need to clean the house but I don't want that to be the end all be all of my weekend. :)

BTW, Transformers in Imax.......   UNFUCKINGBELIEVABLYAMAZING!!

Tonight?!?!?!

The boi and I are probably not going to the overpriced shindig at Machine tonight. Anyone else who is against spending $20 to see bad performances interested in getting together for dinner and watching a movie at home?
Drop a line or give a ring to either of us.

Ganked from several peeps, many of whom have seen these as well, but they were not the exact person before:
Here is how it works. Copy this list. Leave in the bands you've seen perform live. Delete the ones you haven't and add new ones that you have seen until you reach 25. 1. Metallica
2. Ministry
3. KMFDM
4. Hanzel und Gretel
5. Bella Morte
6. Goultown
7. A perfect Circle
8. NIN

10. Jefferson Starship
11. Beborn Beton
12. Apoptygma Berzerk ***
13. Combichrist

You are the classic Shakespearian tragedy of the lolcat universe. The sad story of a baking a cookie, succumbing to gluttony, and in turn consuming the very cookie that was to be offered. Bad grammar ensues.

OMFG!!!!

So good!!!!

Bring tissues!!! You will cry!

I don't remember the last time I enjoyed a movie so much! Everyone was totally enraptured! I looked around once, near the beginning, and EVERYBODY was slackjawed in awe. I came out of the theatre, grinning like a little kid, and the first thing I said was "Again!" I wish it was like going to the fair where you finished the ride and ran around and got back in line to ride again. We will be seeing it again!

Autobots, roll out!
