I hate to post one of these, I know i've seen post like this before but I couldn't find one for the life of me. anyway.. My friends are coming back to the game and want to make some horde side toons. So i'm looking for a server for us to re-roll on. It needs to be a PvP server. Looking for it to be active horde side with nice people (well as long as the majority of them arn't compleate jerks were ok). My friends like to do alot of PvP, but i'm into raiding so i'd like to still be able to do that. A nice guild that is open to both boys and girls would be a plus, though we are considering making our own so maybe guilds who do raiding alliance with a guild/person would be nice, but not necessary. I've gone from barely able to handle equal level fights to totally smacking npcs and people down 2-3 at a time. Also I'm now geared almost entirely in blues from just whites, grays and greens. Alts are serious business [29 Aug 2008|01:10pm] wow_ladies [lightgatherer] On my primary server I have two accounts completely filled with played characters, bank characters, or name holder characters. The played characters account for the majority of those slots, and honestly, I don't have time to play that many characters. With the expansion looming, I decided that I needed to sit down and take stock of my characters. I decided that I needed to be realistic - I won't have time to get the entire bunch to 80, get them reasonably geared, grind reputation, and work on their professions. I told myself that I needed to pare down to six characters - one healer, one tank, and one dps for each faction. I started thinking about what I've read about the future of each of the classes in the expansion, what levels my characters are now, professions my characters have, professions I want to have, my history with the character...and my head started spinning. I had to sit down and make a spreadsheet to keep it all straight. *headdesk* Alts are serious business, don't you know? In the end, I didn't meet my goal of six characters. My goal of three Horde characters was easy, but I have too many Alliance characters to pare down to just three. As a compromise, I've decided to give my Alliance tank and healer the most attention and allow myself three dps characters just for fun. My characters who didn't make the cut to go on to 80 aren't going to be deleted, though - I won't delete a character over level 20. Instead, I'll have the fun of coming up with a story for each of them as to why they are giving up adventuring and settling down somewhere. technical question [29 Aug 2008|03:07pm] wow_ladies [wwwolfww] [ mood | curious ] I apologize in advance because I think this was addressed not too long ago but I have searched and cannot find the post. My friend's quest helper has been screwy ever since the last patch. When she logs on there is a map on her main screen that takes a while to get off, and when she hits the map button it is hard to see the quests on her map. [29 Aug 2008|11:09am] wow_ladies [stardust_fae] [ mood | curious ] [ music | incubus - wish you were here ] I've looked through the tags and I've been here I did the call of light quest last night and am now trying to decide if Scryer really is best for me....the scryer items look good for my Ele Shammy, there are a few better items with Aldor but most of it is stuff I can't use....but when it comes down to it my main reason for considering Scryer over Aldor is that when I first got to Shatt both my BF and GF who were showing me around are with Scryer so my hearth is set to that inn and thats the bank I've been using, I know where the flight point and the BM's are in relation to the scryer elevator so if I go with aldor I'll have to find the inn and the bank and essentially learn the city all over again from a new perspective. (that and I've heard the Aldor elevator can kill you) so I'm kind of confused about the whole thing, and I think I'm making to big of a deal out of it but I'm looking for input from those that have Ele shammies, what did you choose and why.... Setting the stage; science has built a humongous ship for exploring the universe, one way only; let's say to colonize Mars ( Mars is only 9mnths to 4.5 years depending upon which scientist you're speaking to about manned flight) some far far away planet.  They want families, breeding pairs and children to go along to help continue the circle of life on the ship during the journey.  You and your family as it is have been approved upon your sayso.  Would you leave it all behind?  Would you say no to keep your children in a familiar place, or say yes and expose them to the unkown dangers?  Would it change if you were pregnant, just had a kid, only you and your SO are going since your children are grown? I have been exalted with Darnassus and Stormwind for ages, and I was around 19,000/21,000 with Ironforge, and above 14,000/21,000 with Exodar and Gnomeregan Exiles. Off I went to grind lowbie quests! A few quests later in Dun Morogh and Loch Modan, I am exalted with IF! Woo hoo! Then it was off to Azuremyst and Bloodmyst Isles for the Draenei quests. Well, poking around Bloodmyst for the Sand Pears I see yellow text. And I think nothing of it, assuming it was just one of the yellow moth mobs.
