Lessons learned from today and yesterday:
01. Don't drink green tea and eat chimichangas when there is no bathroom nearby.
02. The Shell gas station on Grand Avenue has really clean shitters.
03. If you're going to remove clothing before jumping in water, do so on while you're still on dry land. Mud can be a total bitch.
04. Always keep a towel or any other form of seat covering on your backseat.
05. Charge your camera battery before leaving the house.
06. Remember to bring your camera with you wherever you go. Remember: If there are no pictures, it never happened. Unless, of course, you have the wet clothes to prove it. Or better yet, you could prove it by not having clothes at all. That leads me to this...
07. If you decide to run around naked, be sure to leave all your belongings inside your vehicle.
08. Always watch your back; you'll never know when a ridiculously huge dog is right behind you.
09. Look both ways before crossing Bridge Street.
10. If all else fails, purposely injure yourself. At least you'll have battle scars to prove that you had a great day.

"Here is the latest forecast from Storm Team 8's Meteorologist Gil Simmons.

Good Friday Morning!

**AIR QUALITY ALERT STATEWIDE TODAY**

Very hot weather today along with poor air quality conditions! Most of the weekend will be on the hot side and mainly dry. There could be a shower or thundershower late Saturday and again Sunday afternoon/evening. Also, I am watching an area of tropical trouble just east of Georgia this Morning. We will watch this closely to see if a tropical syatem forms there. I will have live weather updates this morning at 5AM-6AM and 7AM. -Gil gil.simmons@wtnh.com

TODAY: Early fog patches. Hazy sunshine & hot! Highs in the 90s statewide. WInds: Southerly 5-12 mph.

TONIGHT: Humid with patchy fog. Lows in the 60s. Winds: Variable 5 mph."

Between that and the return of last fall's unwanted tenants, today is going to be a real Gold Star Day... oh, and Jake has tee-ball today. For once, I'm glad he doesn't really push himself too hard.

OKAY SO.

ANGUS THONGS WAS MADE INTO A MOVIE, EXCEPT ITS CALLED "ANGUS THONGS AND PERFECT SNOGGING" WHICH IS KIND OF DUMB BUT WHATEVER. I'm tired of caps but pretend the rest of the entry is in caps, okay? The movie is being released in the UK on July 25th but the website says that the US release date is "TBD". TBD?!?!??!?! Fuck you guys.

I went to Gravelly Point with Paul last night and we sat on a blanket and watched planes land. At 9 or 10, after everyone else had left, we saw a random fireworks display coming from Arlington or Alexandria. We think someone proposed to their girlfriend or something. I mean, why would there be fireworks on a Wednesday evening in the ides of July? Weird.

Started training in wegmans deli today. whee. They all think I'm nuts for liking it better than cashing so far, but really - cashing I've been told that I'm full of shit, and been called names, treated like a moron, and hit on in the creepiest ways. Plus in deli I get to play with the meat slicers, which are wicked fun.

Best Conversation Of the Week:

I have to pack, edit, edit more, take my mom to the dentist, and probably pack more.

Thursday: I have shit to do, then a Francis Bacon Experiment show, then pile into the truck, and drive away to Massachusetts. Friday: who knows how I will feel, being that I will be coming out of a 8 hour drive. Saturday: kathy and chico's wedding!

Does anyone remember this show?
I was hoping to get some of my favorite series on DVD sometime this summer. So I started thinking about all of my favorite shows, and I remembered I used to loooooveeee Friday the 13th the TV series. I'm just wondering how many of you actually remember this show? It started around the time I was born, but I remember seeing re-runs of it on sci-fi when I was 11 or 12, they played around midnight. I've always been into creepy and mysterious shows and movies.

To refresh your memory...

Oh, and...
The new Borders.com looks like the OLD bn.com (which am Barnes & Noble, the greatest bookstore chain on this planet or any other; trust that, if nothing else), only take out all the cheery forest green and replace it with a sickening chick-lit (note the hyphen; it is not candy-colored in ANY WAY, I promise) maroon.
Next, they'll probably dismantle their idiotic points-based system and use paid memberships for discounts...>8)X

Mentaltainment.
-The US is sending a representative to chat with Iran. Well, that's a step in the right direction.

-Much as he dislikes Iran, the President apparently hates and fears your uterus (should you have one. If not, you might be OK...but don't get all uppity.

And just remember, if you vote Republican and your kid gets drafted, whatever happens next is kinda your fault.
A better world is the responsibility of those who would live in it; otherwise, there are plenty of 24-hour stores that sell razor blades and shoe polish.
I think my brain is cooked. I don't even know where that last bit came from.

Welll...........
I am so annoyed! It is so hot out (my car is parked in the sun @ the client I'm @ now) that my shampoo/conditioner bottles in my gym bag melt/contort from the heat in my car!

I already drag my makeup bag into work with me (lost a liptstick to the heat and subsequent melting!), I can't drag that monstrosity in with me too. Besides, my gym clothes are the NASTIEST things ever after I've worked out. I finally found that putting them in a plastic bag and tying it up and squeezing out all the air is the only way for my car not to smell when I get back in

(sorry if this is TMI, I'm just ranting!)

Luckily I'm just using Herbal Essences for the gym, it's pretty cheap. And the stuff is still useable, I just have to be careful that the bottles don't tip over...
