I just found all the episodes of a tv series from the eighties I used to watch in tv when a child... it was a journey back.. someone has post all the videos in parts in youtube, just rewatched Beauty and the best (a version of my fav version the french version by cocteau) showing a super young Susan Sarandon... I used to remember Shelley Duval's presenting these. I remember Jeff Bridges in Rapunzel was quite handsome... now after so many years, there are many points that make me blush as ridicule as they sometimes are... still for me as a child was true magic, and i'm so glad I could remember this...
sometimes youtube amazes me...
I love fairy tales so much, they really teach how to be fair, strong and brave..
what's your favourite fairy tales?
mine are:
east of the sun west of the moon (from norway) sort of retale of beauty and teh best with a polar bear instead of a monster.
Undine (one of my most favourites, yet sad ending) there's a lovely version illustrated by Arthur Rackham
I always found "story of a mother" by Andersen a bit strange and maybe cruel but quite teaching of what's true love. |

I haven't got over it I admit it...
specially if a day of loss and remembrance is full of bad news all over :(, concert cancellations, missing pricy packages... arg... I wish I could delete today from my calendar

I've finished two mini paintings, both are tiny acrylics (10x15 cm) and the original framed in a lovely vintage golden frame will be available for sale very soon. I'll post pictures of them framed in upcoming posts, i'm not sure if they'll be listed in my fanclub store on in etsy but if you're already interested feel free to write One is "darkest wood" with a moth-like fairy in brown colours, the other is "Lost heart" showing a ghost girl covering her hollow chest inspired in M. R. James "Lost heart"If you're interested in the original they'll be sold at 200 EUR (shipping included) framed, but if you can't afford it you can still have a look to the new greeting cards made upon them printed in high quality photopaper by 2.5 Eur each from the store

| My hand-made double flute |

I've always had a fascination for double flutes since I saw "The Dark Crystal" which is my favourite movie of al times... in fact I have the collectors edition and old simple edition in DVD but does anyone know if the 25th anniversary has any new thing inside... anyway I would not mind to grab it
The Dark Crystal (25th Anniversary Edition)
the case is that Jen at the beginning of the movie and in Kira's theme (yes, my dog Kira was names after the movie) has a double flute, in the soundtrack it was performed by a double flageolette and yes it's not possible with a drone flute to do what jen's does, but still I was absolutely in love with the looks of a double flute, curiously I'm meeting the designer of the movie, illustrator Brian Froud, this summer as he'll host one concert of mine and some other bands at the festival faerieworlds where I'll perform along with bands like Woodland, Qntal, Trillian Green and others... So it was the moment to make a double flute, if not similar to get the mood.
so I joined two whistles, cut a wood piece and joined them together with putty, and then I sculpted some tree branches and staff... needs still some customization :) but sounds nice (and double), all the double flutes I had found online were lovely but only drone-line (one note) or made of not with the right look. I'm quite satisfied with my little crafty attempt.

My "Cinderella" complex...! :) Now seriously you know I'm a lover of fantasy wear :) and thus I spend quite a lot of time looking for beautiful things I'd like to wear on my shows :), so my favourite folder was all full and decided to put everything in order in a blog that I promise to update very often :) so bookmark it :) and well, it's purpose is to build a guide for cosplayers, and lovers of fantasy fashion overall!

On the other hand and sadly my performance in the three faery wishes festival (Cornwall) has been cancelled due to problems in the organization to provide the required backline. We're indeed very sad and we don't discard to be part of this festival and events in the near future hopefully in better conditions... We both agreed that was better to cancel it that risking to make it without the proper gear provided as we rely on the hiring of keyboards for the show in international performances and could not be fulfilled in time. For the ones expecting to see me there, i'm sorry, for the rest, please have fun in the fest! |

Also wanted to add (just in case there's anyone in greece LOL) that my music is featured in the greek magazine OUTCAST issue nº 7 with an indepth interview. Click on the cover to get more info about this magazine (language: greek). The review will be soon posted in english. Well it's time to keep you up to date with the so far upcoming three dates (wish they were more!!) but here we go!! shall most more detail of any of them (and new ones appearing) as they get close.
20-22 June: 3 Faery wishes festival (UK, Cornwall). It's going to be a humble set, just me and Héctor and probably a local hired cellist (we're working on that)) still with all the spirit and faerie magic of the event and more info can be found here:

I'm now learning tons of my friends "Woodland" so I can support them in their concert and they can do in mine... the performance in usa is going to be funny because we´re learning in the distance each other's music, it won't be as polished as going with my own band but indeed a lovely experience... I've developed such a great fondness for kelly and Emilio from Woodland that wether if it's not exactly the same I feel it will be exploring a new dimension of enjoying the music on stage... sharing it with friends and intermingling our very own materials... :) i'm sure a lot of jam will be involved LOL!
I'm eagerly wanting to meet them :) aside Faerieworlds is a very special concert due to its nature, open stage in the forest and of course an ecological event.
