THE EXPLANATION: So the first reaction of people upon initially viewing this LJ is "what IS it?" And who could blame them for being confused?

Basically, WriteMe. is a Project of mine and my friend's. Soon to be friends'. It's just a place we've created for posting anonymous letters/postcards/random pieces of written work belonging to us and other assorted friends of ours.

Read the below letter and you might understand a little better: We saw this website written by a girl who wrote 300 or 400 love letters knowing that the people to whom she wrote would never get them. Instead she posted them online. She even wrote to strangers. I was completely enthralled with these letters and decided I'd take it upon myself to make my own, mini-version of what she started. And so, I did. It's pretty much gonna be the bomb-dot-com.

Only not, because it's actually http://www.livejournal.com/users/x_write_me/... and not the bomb-dot-com.

I think it can be considered a good omen that when I opened the new notebook from which I tore the paper out for this letter, a crumpled dollar bill fell from it. I don't know why that's a good omen, but it seems pretty cool.
