Ganked from sweetbastet The first five people to comment on this post get to request a doodle from me on a subject/character of their choosing. In return, they have to post this meme in their journal. apparently it is supposed to be 10 people, but i seriously doubt i will get 5 replies, let alone 10 Current Mood: InterconnectedCurrent Music: Rasputina - The New Zero | | Saturday, April 15th, 2006 | | 11:11 am |

1. I'll respond with something random I like about you. 2. I'll tell you what song/movie reminds me of you. 3. I'll name something we should do together. 4. I'll say something that only makes sense to you and me (or just me). 5. I'll tell you my first/clearest memory of you. 6. I'll leave you a quote that is somehow appropriate to you. 7. I'll ask you something that I've always wondered about you.

in which the hero does very little firstly a poem by Ray D Knight.
For years, the scientific brain Has sought a way to make it rain, And, recently, this was in vain Attempted from an aeroplane.
While tossing out dry ice into The unprecipitated blue, It was assumed there would ensue A shower that was overdue.
How dull the men of science are! They could have merely washed a car.

in which the meaning of life is revealed (not really) so things are happening again. but first, i will speak of happier things. time spent hanging up and redialing phone: 20 minutes time spent on hold once i finaly got through: 7 minutes time spent purchasing tickets: 5 minutes time spent on buses too or from the venue, 7 hours time spent wandering sydney looking for a friggen mcdonalds (i swear, 50 million thai food places, 2 mcdonalds in all of the CBD) 2 hours time spent waiting outside random japanese shop: 1 hour time spent waiting after concert in the slim chance of autographness: roughly 45 minutes time spent chatting with Tyrone from george: roughly 10 minutes time of actual tori amos concert: about 2 and a half hours total cost of trip: about 300 bucks was it worth it? OH YES. i had a truely awesome seat, very happy. yes. anyways, that was awesome anyway, i dont really feel like talking about the bad stuff just now. suffice to say that bad stuff is happening, and will likely continue to do so for the forseeable future. i am drowning in crap Current Mood: pissed offCurrent Music: Warren Ellis - Revolution | | Friday, April 22nd, 2005 | | 4:52 pm |
He Took A Duck In The Face At 250 Knots Finished Pattern Recognition by Gibson, its was pretty good, nice to see it fitting into todays world for once. all in all, i enjoyed it, although it suffered as all other gibsons ive read, from the unnatural bunching, much like a pair of pants whose elastic is wonky, it will move at a normal pace, then suddenly leap without warning, causing the reader to spend a few pages just trying to regain their footing (this may be a terribly clever method of simulating the jetlag/soul delay cayce feels, but i suspect not) the main character is interesting, and the storyline progresses quite engagingly (despite the erratic pace in parts, mostly the end) i recommend it to people who enjoy that type of thing (not a terribly exciting review i fear)

guns dont kill ducklings, ducklings kill ducklings watched movies: Star Trek: Nemesis. bland, the evil clone of picards knife was cool, but you basically never saw it, and romulan warbirds still look cool. oh yeah and "oh command? we umm, broke the enterprise again" 101 Reyjavick. this was cool, if a little surreal in parts, many many versions of the song "lola" and addresses the age old dilemma that arrises when you have sex with, and then impregnate, your mothers lesbian lover. making you your brothers father, without technically being incest. also accurately displays my feelings during family christmas gathering About a boy. i love hugh grant movies, i dont know why, i just do. he is the coolest bastard ever ^^ Current Mood: apatheticCurrent Music: Everything But The Girl - Missing (sedate version) | | Friday, October 15th, 2004 | | 8:05 pm |

"Never Ascribe to Malice what can be explained by Stupidity" i just finished watching the movie "The Brain From The Planet Arous" made in 1957, this movie tells the story of a nuclear physicist who is possessed by alien "Kor" (masterfully played by a large balloon painted like a brain with eyes) which then goes about conquering the world. the only one able to stop the mad scientist is "Vol" (played by the same balloon i suspect) who possesses George, the scientists dog. zany hijinx ensue, airplanes are exploded (by which i mean 5 cent models) and various generals look shocked a lot. best scene, when they attack the floating brain with a fire axe, making it bob about wildly. all in all i rate it a glorious one and a half out of ten for actual movieness, but an six for zany Bmovie hijinx, and an eight for sheer "MST3Kability" i look forward to someone spoofing it. and i want to get that fireaxe clip.
