i'm trying to keep the show stuff in my regular blog, so that its not separate, in the hope that the two can support each other and get more listeners/readers!
also, i moved to a blog on a site i help to maintain, for some real autogestion.
so, check it out here: http://deleteTheBorder.org/lotu5 |

Ricardo Cominguez Interview and signing off

The audio of my interview with Ricardo Dominguez of Electronic Disturbance Theatre about Electronic Civil Disobedience and borderHack is here (41.8MB, 1.5 hours).
I also did a show with Virginia Giannoni about Argentina, the disappeared and the struggles there earlier this month. You can get that show here
In february, I did an interview with a member of Challenging White Supremacy.
I'm happy to say that I'm taking a break from my show from a while. I want to take the time to do more work in the areas of tech and video and to reflect on more effective methods of struggle. I'm also very happy to say that I feel like there are so many people doing so many amazing shows on radioActive that I'm happy to step back and create space for others after doing my show for about a year and a half now. I'll still be helping with event coverage, critical mass radio network, tech and production at radioActive, but I won't have my own regular time slot.
Thanks for listening. I hope you've enjoyed my shows.

|---|
Tune in online at 7pm PST on Thursday, Jan 27th, by going to http://radioActiveradio.org
This week on resistance, remixed, lotus will be interviewing Hannah Sassaman of the Prometheus Radio Project about the work they do and their upcoming days of action for the 5 year anniversary of Low Power FM (LPFM).
From http://prometheusradio.org :
On the morning of Tuesday, February 8th, 2005, the Federal Communications Commission is inviting Low Power FM radio broadcasters and their allies to attend an important meeting in Washington, DC. We worked hard to establish the service in 2000, and five years later, the FCC wants to see how well these important news stations have survived and thrived. How can they make the service better? How can they your stations work better for you? Prometheus will organize a full day of workshops, trainings, and information sessions for Monday, February 7th. And that Monday night, February 7th, starting at 7pm, the fun begins, as we celebrate Low Power FM radio's 5th birthday! Stations from around the country will show pictures, audio clips, and stories from their wonderful stations, as we celebrate, and work together to bring community radio to every town that needs it.
We'll also hear some great music from Hannah's band, Kiss Kiss Kill!
You can add your comments or questions about this show, and find the archive of it after its done, here: http://www.livejournal.com/users/dj_lotus/ |

Resitance, Remixed is an experiment in tactical audio production where DJ Lotus creates audio which is in itself an act of resistance. Resistance, remixed also looks for new forms of resistance all over the world in an effort to find new, effective ways of combating neo-liberalism and the religious right, while creating direct democracy.

DJ No Face deisgned my previous page, which is gorgeous and can be found here:
http://www.radioactiveradio.org/lotus/lotus.html
I've decided to switch to this because its easier to update frequently and it has an rss feed.
To read more about the concept of tactical media, read this:
http://www.waag.org/tmn/frabc.html
My show is mostly a news show that covers struggles against capitalism and heirarchy, and their symptoms, corporate-globalization and war, all over the world. In addition, resistance, remixed will focus on local organizing going on in San Diego to use as a magnifying glass to illuminate those same struggles that are going on in cities accross the globe.
I am producing this show as part of a broader revolutionary strategy. The only way that we will be able to have a complete overturning of social relations in this world and create a truly free society, free of oppression and domination, will be by having not a single revolutionary movement, but by having a million movements, acting strategically in harmony, complementing each other's actions, and strengthening each other.
We can win, if we work together, but respect each other's autonomy. We can create a new world in the crumbling shell of the old one. A day hopeful and radiant is near. Listen to my show and learn about the actions of hope and creation happening all over the world, every day. You can e-mail me at: lotus at radioActiveradio.org
