I need to design a T-Shirt, and it's going to be entered into a contest. I'm going to make my design in Photoshop. I'm just wondering how large I should make my image so it will translate to a HQ image when printed onto a shirt.
Thanks!

Lately I've been doing a lot of knitting and crochet (also jewelry), and my wrists began to hurt quite a bit (specially at night). I was wondering how you ladies take care of your wrists when doing a lot of repetitive movements. I'd hate to get carpel tunel or arthritis before I'm thirty.
So this isn't only text, here's a scarf I just finished.
( knit one, knit two, knit three, knit knit knit! )

This is extremely OT, but as it pertains to this community...
When did the layout get changed for for what purpose? Due to
craftgrrl's daily post amount, I always just visit the site and have it pop up on my flist.
I scrolled through the posts to find what I missed (ie, mod posts), but the layout is not much fun to read when you're actually visiting the comm.
I'm not gonna lie - I'm not a fan of the new layout. in comparison to the old one it's more cluttered and the navigation is awkward for me.

Reconstructed t-shirts and grommet question

I picked up a copy Generation T and was inspired to reconstruct some old t-shirts I picked up at the salvation army. So far I have one skirts along with a t-shirt and gaunlets. They're more than a little rough since I'm pretty new to sewing but I wanted to share:
( Reconstructed Tees: Image heavy )
Now as for grommets, I searched the memories but couldn't find a post about this so I apologize if this is a repeat question. Has anyone here ever used grommet pliers? And if so, how well did they work?

I saw these at wal-mart and I was interested because I've had trouble making grommets stay in fabric before in an old halloween costume. Before I think about picking them up though I'd like to know if these pilers work.

I'm designing an invitation for a bridal shower, and I would love it if you guys could please give me some feedback on the mockup. In particular, should I get rid of the words on top? And is the pattern on the teacup too busy?

And, so that this post actually has a legitimate finished craft on it...
More images and commentary (including a rant about the ridiculousness of the fact that I was utterly unable to find cornflower blue paper in all three stores I went to today) on my wordpress blog, here.

So, bit of a long story. My high school friend's prom is tomorrow. She asked me to go with her as a date, because she could not find anyone else. She's bummin' a little bit, I think, because she is straight and could not find a boy to go with her. Anyway, she took me dress shopping yesterday because I needed a dress and prom is tomorrow and I am not so crafty that I could whip up a prom dress in two days. We discussed the corsage situation, and originally we were going to buy corsages for each other, but she decided that she didn't want to spend money on one more thing.
But I felt sad, because it's her senior prom, and I'm sentimental, and felt that she deserved a corsage. So I took a look at my crafting supplies, and my unused Joanne's gift card from christmas, and, as the French say, ( VOILA! Origami corsages! )
I hope she likes them. :) I'm quite pleased with them. I think they're BETTER than a real flower, even! They'll last longer, anyway.

Does anyone here work with either mediums? I'd like to start using polymer clays and making lampwork glass beads in my beading but I'm a little intimidated by it all. I know that working with glass is difficult but I can't seem to find a class where I live nor do I know of anyone who already works with it...any advice would be much appreciated!

So I'm wanting to paint over a plastic My Little Pony toy. What type of paint should I use and how should I protect it? I'm not an artist, and I'm insanely broke. My friend has a lot of acrylic paints that I'd like to use, but I'm not sure if this is an option. Any ideas?

I always like to dress up for big tests (finals, AP's, SAT's etc).
This is a dress I made for my very last AP test EVER!
The fabric was $.99/yd for some crazy sale, and I borrowed heavily from Thisdress, but who wants to pay $400 for a dress?
Anyway, here it is...

( By the way, the images are a little obese looking because I'm on a photoshopless computer and had to resort to photobucket resizing )
