There's nothing I hate more while working than being blamed for being a flake when it's really you boss that has the issues. I know basically everyone has the same complaint, but why does it keep cropping up again and again and again!

Yes, my job is driving me crazy. The good news is, I was invited to an orientation for dental hygiene students down at PCC (I'm on the alternate list). The idea, apparently, is to see "who shows up", and according to the director, she's putting me number one on the alternate list. I'm planning to be an hour early, at least!
*crosses fingers*
Jennifer and all the kids have been down since Monday, and it's lovely to have them here. I missed the trip to the newly opened Griffith Observatory, but Justin regaled me with all the new information he learned, plus a detailed analysis of "Bang!", which he had taken hope with him last time they visited. I may actually get the chance to read it this time! Emily is bright as a little button and the cutest doll-faced baby ever. Sasha has behaved herself this week and is now taking short trips outside, and come running whenever I call her (I've stocked up on cat treats). She's also afflicted with hairballs, even though I've been plying her with mineral oil. I think I need to talk to the vet. Aside from the yuckiness of finding cat vomit on my carpet, it would be really dangerous if these things get stuck in her gut. Silly fluffy cat.

How is it possible to care SO MUCH about fictional characters on a television show? I'm re-watching the series for the...3rd time so I can show my sister the wonders of Dawson's Creek. We're on the 4th season (which I think is my personal favorite.) We just finished the episode after the "Promicide" episode... where Pacey goes to the party for the Worthington freshmen with Joey and finally realizes that everything is actually over. But seriously... my heart is BREAKING for them!!! It's so terribly sad and I don't understand how it could affect both me and my sister so much, you know? I just felt the need to write that down somewhere and I figured this would be the place to do it...
Also, just for the record... the first couple times around, I was very Dawson/Joey. But THIS time... Pacey/Joey!!! <3333 Ahh they are PERFECT together, and I'm assuming that's why they ended up together. I love them together so much!

first off, GUESS WHAT I WON ON EBAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY~ yeah, won it at $35.00 (not including the $9 for shipping) but damn it, it's a one-of-a-kind jacket and i'm already paying for some of it anyway. (i can chuck in $21 to it, and keep some for a pencil sketch from Memai. hey Mems, it's two bucks for shipping, right?)
just gotta get PayPal to verify mom's bank account and i can give mom the money to put into the account. I WANT THIS JACKET NOOOOOOOOW.
i just realised that it's almost two weeks until Ringo and i don't have my Magical Mystery Shirt done...if i can get this jacket before the concert then i might just wear that and a plain shirt underneath. but i would really like to have my MMT shirt done by then...sigh.
anyway, saturday was...a bore. D: EDIT: HOW DID I FORGET?!?! I SAW WALL-E. OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHMYGOD. OHMYGOD. I WANT A WALL-E. RIGHTNOW. god, how cute could that movie be? and how...disturbing? D: NO FURUTRE FOR ME, KTHX. but still, WAAAAAAAALL-E. i'm going to be on the lookout for a little Wall-e figure, and maybe one of Eve to keep him company. cos SERIOUSLY BEST PIXAR MOVIE EVER. (next to Toy Story.)
yesterday mom and i got sidetracked from going to the store and went to a swap meet. i found a still packaged Yellow Submarine John figure, with holes (from the Sea Of Holes) and Jeremy, for five bucks. also Julian Lennon's vinyl single "Too Late For Goodbyes"/"Let Me Be" and Elton John's "Heartache All Over The World"/"Highlander" both for two bucks a piece, and a Jimi Hendrix "Greatest Hits" cd for two bucks.
they had SO MUCH scrapbooking stuff in this one booth. i came happy rainbows. repeatedly. sheets of paper, DOUBLE SIDED PAPER, for a dollar each, and sticker sheets and alphabet sheets and stamps and stamp pigment pads and brads and brackets and rub ons and sheets of punch outs and cute little accents ALL FOR A DOLLAR EACH OHFUCKINGMYGOD. i bought this six-piece set of these bottle caps with adhesive pads on the back, and they're all about love. there are:

"only Admire brand has that snappy flavor"
"drink Adore brand cola"
"simply Precious creme soda"
"enjoy 100% pure Love"
"Love and Cherish flavor"
yeah, kind of lame, but they're soooooooo cuuuuuute. D: i had to get at least one set of them. might pull the adhesive backs off and make earrings out of them...or something...unfortunately the Precious one was scratched up a bit when it was packaged in. ;; sad.
but honestly, of whatever they had there, they had TOOOOOOOOOOOOOONS of it. boxes and boxes of stuff. they had about thirty sets of these coke bottle caps, and just of "love." they also had ones for valentines day, months of the year...ugh. i just...I CAME.
they also sold guitars at this swamp meet. ;_______________________;
then there was a guy there that was selling baseball cards and whathaveyou, and he saw by my bag (and what i was holding, my Yellow Sub John) that i was a Beatles fan and he said, "damn, you should have been here an hour ago! i sold this little souveneir card of Paul signed by him! i didn't know it was his real signature at first so i sold it to this guy for fifteen dollars, but he came back and showed me it was authentic!"
i wanted to cry. i totally would have given it to Rina. ;________;
so we got some other stuff and left to take the goods home. then we went to Safeway to get corn and a few other things. a guy stopped me to compliment my bag. ^___________________^ (i changed bags so i'll take pics later.)
also, if you're a Starbucks fan and you're a mocha whore like me, i do suggest getting that mint chip mocha frap-whatever they just released recently. i do love it so.
so we got home and started on the food. Vern, his wife Melissa and their son Frank finally arrived. we talked a bit before we were ushered off to my room for tutoring whereupon i discovered that my school removed my math class from my list of courses, because i guess the year for that has ended. OOPS. (why do i not seem to know? i've never submitted anything in that class because i've been waiting on mom to get me an actual tutor...for a year and a half now. i've been working on all of my other classes since then.)
of course, Frank and i got teased. you wanna know the worst joke? from Melissa: "well, i guess you two could sit on Kat's bed and study...just keep your pants on, okay?"
...umm...EXCUSE THE FUCK OUTTA ME?
oh wait, is this because i'm seventeen, and apperantly ALL seventeen year old girls spread leg for anything that has a penis? IS THAT WHAT YOU'RE IMPLYING? WHAT-THE-FUCK-EVER, LADY.
honest to fucking god, i was so insulted. i nearly got up from the desk we were sitting at to tell her, "y'know, on second thought, i think i'll fail algebra, fuck you very much."
how fucking insulting...
the rest of the even went less painfully. (then again, not a whole lot can top that joke, mind you.) at least Melissa washed most of the dishes. i ended up diverting the subject of math to video games until dinner was ready. i found out Frank hit his head and had two concussions which resulted in minor but significant brain damage, which is why he talks a little funny. he's not exactly slow, but his memory is off. then again, so is mine since MY concussion.
dinner was all right. we watched some movie called Category 7, which was kind of like The Day After Tomorrow. at around eight they left. the night winded down, i won the Beatles jacket on ebay, and we went to bed.
and...that's it.
also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JIYU~! i'll work on something for you today. :D
EDIT: THE RABBITS. i forgot to mention that there were RABBITS for sale at that swap meet. AND THEY WERE SO SWEET. RABBITS. SO CUTE. OMFG. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE. ♥
