No, but I have been streaking twice.

You know what I used to be really concerned with?

I started this LJ when I was like 13 or 14 (you know, some young whippersnapper age) right around the time I started writing fic and watching Avatar. 'Cause so many of my friends from the Avatar fandom were Adults (pronounced "AH-Dults"!) I was oddly concerned with sounding mature in my journal entries. Like I'd edit them to sound less like something written by a preteen/teeny-bopper girl. Like I didn't write much with slang. Even though in my daily discourse I say "sick" and "sketch" and "tight" and, yes, occasionally, I still make "Your Mom" jokes--don't tell me, that was so last year--or even, "that's what she said!" and in EXTREME SITUATIONS...

Well anyhow I'm not sure exactly if I 100% succeeded. I'm not interested in going back and looking through my old entries, because it'll make me cringe and probably throw up in some dark corner of my room. Just... you know. I don't really care about that now. Which is a lot more relaxing. Just typing what I'm thinking.

So if I sound more immature now then I did like 2 or 3 years ago, for those of you who've known me since The Beginning, that's why. I'm still a teenager, still in high school... still doing kid stuff. Now I'm just more open about it. I'm not sure what changed. But back then, everyone's opinion on LJ mattered a lot to me. I didn't want to be the immature little kid bugging all the Ah-Dults on LJ. Maybe I still ended up being that kid.

Not that I'm saying y'all's opinions don't matter to me anymore. I guess I'm just more comfortable now.

Plus I'm not writing anymore so I don't feel as judged.

Oh--writing. Sometimes I look through my little "fiction/writing" folder on my hard drive and all I can think is, "when the fuck did I find the time/energy to do this?!"

Now if I have any sort of time like that, I sleep. Or... socialize. Yes! I have more Real Life friends now! Maybe I'm even getting a little popular! How nice!

Speaking of friends... we went shopping in downtown Seattle today. It was fabulous. I didn't really buy anything except Black Pepper Chicken at an Indian restaurant in Westlake Center. It was definitely delish.

I finished this novel last night and spent about an hour sobbing into my pillow. Woke up this morning and slapped this together pretty quickly; excuse the shitty cover art.

After a few minutes of "ohmygod, where did I put it, what did I name it"-type panic, I found my half (or 3/4) completed entry for avatar_exchange in a random folder in a random place on my computer.

After a few seconds of reading through the first two pages, I've now decided it's trash. Yuck. Gross. Reeeallly horrible attempt at depth and emotion. Whooeee. You know how when you first write something, you're like "This is pretty much the next great American Classic," and then you put it away for like 2 months, reopen it, and it sounds like some 11-year-old's first Mary Sue fic at ff.net?

That's pretty much what this was.

You know when those " _________: my anti-drug" icons were really popular back in the day? Like, for the ATLA fandom, "iroh: my anti-drug" or "zuko: my anti-drug"?

Does anyone know where I can get one that says "FACEBOOK: MY ANTI-DRUG"?!

So yesterday was Saturday and I thought "Oh! There was a new Avatar I missed on Friday!" and so I skip on over and proceed to download the newest episode. I don't even look at the Episode number, just the title--Nightmares and Daydreams. Hm hm hm, it was a great episode, I was just a little confused as to why the eye-in-the-forehead scary man conflict was never resolved from where we'd last left off in The Beach.

I poke around a bit more and realize HAH this is what you get for being greedy and not keeping up with the latest avatard news; that bit about UK episodes completely slipped through my fingers. On one hand, yes, I'm a little annoyed that I watched it out of order (I have this OCD thing about watching and reading things in order) but on the other hand I am overjoyed at the amount of episodes now at my disposal.

Yesh, yesh... two essays due tomorrow, piano recital tonight, about 50 pages of AP bio reading to be read... what does it all matter?

In other news, my gift for avatar_exchange is almost done! I made great progress at 2am last night. And the deadline's not until December! I feel so proud of myself!

That epilogue? Remember the virus that attacked my computer about... I don't know. A year ago? Well we recently uploaded all our old files to our new computer, so I've got it. It's physically on my hard drive, but since I had that folder with my writing and fanfiction in it protected/locked, our new computer isn't really authorized to open it, so it's blocking me from all my own works.

It's very frustrating, especially since I was so hopeful about it. My dad's going to try and figure it out this weekend though, so hopefully that'll clear up soon and I can finally finally finish the darn thing.

I'm just scared that it'll disappoint everyone. Much the way HP7 epilogue did many fans.

And it's been such a long time. Maybe it might be better to leave as is.

I don't know.

Chapter 3 of HS is in the works. Oh, and it might not work out. I might just end up taking it down. It's supposed to be Zutara, yes... but the way that I imagine them... they are so different from canon Katara & Zuko that it might just end up being two people who are named Katara & Zuko, with nothing else all that much similar, personality-wise. Katara in-the-story doesn't act or sound like Katara from-the-show, at all. She's just so different. Lots more introverted--less caring and motherly and emotional, the way she's portrayed in the show. It's sort of leaving Avatar-verse and entering... my own world-verse. I could possibly take it down and revamp it as my own original work.

I don't know.

I love how these things happen during a week when I have an AP Spanish test, AP US History test, Pre-Calc test (all tomorrow) and an AP Bio test, AP Spanish presentation, and two Honors Humanities essays (all due on Thursday).

The world works in strange and mysterious ways.

I really, really like this show.

And I find Lee Adama very, very attractive

I resolve to make this a good, no-negative-things, nice-positive-things entry.

1) Fuck my keyboard's completely shorting out on me.
2) Nice weather! So hot. 86 degrees F in the northwest during September is very, very warm.
3) Drive test on Friday! I could be a licensed driver soon! No, scratch the negative doubt--I WILL be a licensed driver soon!
4) So much goddamn homework.
5) The AP Spanish test is 5 fabulous hours long. What did I do in a previous life to deserve this.
